Saada: Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Dr. Ali Mohammed on Thursday inspected several vital projects in Haidan district in Sa’ada province. A key focus of his visit, accompanied by his deputy Adel Bader, was Marran water project, a $2 million initiative funded by the ministry, the Central Interventions Unit, and UNICEF.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project, nearing completion at 99%, will soon provide clean water to 25,000 residents in Marran area. Haidan district director Sadiq Ghubaj briefed the officials on the project’s significance, noting the long-standing need for accessible water in the mountainous region.
Minister Mohammed and his deputy stressed the importance of regular maintenance to ensure the project’s sustainability and thanked local leaders and donors for their contributions. The Minister and his team also reviewed the self-funded Marran Road lighting project and inspected ongoing improvements to the Haidan electricity network, urging their rapid completion to better serve the community.
