Sana'a: Mayor Dr. Hammoud Abbad launched a comprehensive clean-up campaign yesterday evening to remove street vendors, unsightly and haphazard displays, and waste from the streets and markets of the capital's districts, coinciding with the approach of Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, Abbad inspected the progress of the campaign, which began in Bab al-Yemen Square and Old Sana'a, and extended to Tahrir Square, Jamal and Ali Abdul-Mughni Streets, Hayel, Al-Sunaynah, and Madhbah Streets in Ma'in, Al-Zumr and Farwah markets in Shu'ub, Naqam and Khawlan in Azal, passing through Al-Zahrawi and Shamila markets in Al-Sabeen, Al-Jumhuriyah and Al-Hasbah in Al-Thawrah, and finally reaching Al-Safiyah, Al-Wahda, Bani Al-Harith, and Azal markets.
