Sana’a: A meeting in the capital Sana’a brought together Finance Minister Abduljabbar Ahmed, Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Sam al-Bashiri, Chamber of Commerce Chairman Ali al-Hadi, and ceramic traders and manufacturers to discuss efforts to localize ceramic production.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed ongoing efforts to strengthen domestic ceramic manufacturing, highlighting Yemen’s raw materials that could enable locally produced ceramics to compete with imports in quality.
Participants agreed to task the Chamber of Commerce, in coordination with the Ministries of Finance and Economy, with drafting a joint vision to market local products and support national industry. They stressed the importance of maintaining competitive quality and pricing while meeting market demands.
Officials praised government measures aimed at expanding local ceramic production as part of a broader strategy to promote domestic manufacturing.
