Sana’a: The Supreme Supervisory Committee of the Third Conference “Palestine, the Central Issue of the Nation” gathered on Tuesday, under the leadership of Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi, to evaluate the ongoing preparations for the upcoming conference scheduled to take place during Ramadan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the committee examined the report from the Preparatory Committee, which outlined the efforts undertaken to coordinate with various stakeholders, including the Al-Aqsa Support Committee, relevant ministries, and Palestinian factions. The report detailed the scientific committee’s achievements in reviewing submitted research and working papers, as well as the media committee’s coordination of media coverage and logistical arrangements for international participants.
The Preparatory Committee indicated that five countries, including Yemen, will be participating in the conference. There have been 136 research papers submitted by 158 researchers from 29 entities, such as universities, research centers, ministries, and institutions. Additionally, the Foreign Relations Committee reported on its outreach to international figures who support the Palestinian cause and oppose the “Zionist occupation,” with arrangements underway to accommodate international guests in collaboration with relevant parties.
The Supreme Supervisory Committee assessed the progress made since the second conference, which included 33 scientific seminars on the Palestinian cause and the “al-Aqsa Flood” battle. The meeting underscored the strategic significance of the conference, highlighting its regional and international impact in bolstering support for the Palestinian cause.
The committee expressed gratitude for the contributions of all involved in the preparatory activities and emphasized the necessity of mobilizing and coordinating efforts with the Capital Sana’a to ensure the success of the conference. The meeting also highlighted the importance of emphasizing the “al-Aqsa Flood” battle’s role in the conflict with the “Zionist enemy” and acknowledged the support of Yemen, its leadership, government, and people, as well as the countries of the resistance axis, in supporting the battle and the people of Gaza.
