Sana'a:A meeting at the Public Works Sector in Sana'a Governorate, led by Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs Eng. Saleh Al-Muntasir, focused on enhancing technical, administrative, and service operations and implementing strategic decisions in the field.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the progress on past recommendations and measures to address ongoing issues. Plans were discussed to relocate factories, stone-cutting facilities, and concrete plants to designated industrial zones, aiming to mitigate unplanned development and protect the environment.
The discussion also included a directive from the Minister of Transport and Public Works to halt unauthorized construction outside approved urban plans and increase field inspections to identify violations.
Further topics included staff rotation and assessment to improve administrative efficiency, organizing archives and records, and ensuring that departments and district branches submit monthly reports on time. The progress of the 1446-1447 AH project plan, branch office operational expenditures, and the handover of service facilities and parks to the Cleaning and Improvement Fund were also reviewed.
Participants emphasized distributing neighborhood units among engineers to prevent duplicate site inspections and ensure prompt and unified technical reports. This approach aims to curb extortion and facilitate public services.
Eng. Saleh Al-Muntasir highlighted the necessity of increased efforts to enhance services, stressing greater discipline and coordination among departments and branches to preserve urban plans and improve the governorate's appearance. Additionally, Eng. Muhammad Ashiya noted the ongoing evaluative follow-up of all branches to ensure legal compliance and reduce technical and engineering violations.
