Sana'a: The Deputy Chairman of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ahmed Shuraim, reviewed the progress of a training course on the General Guide for Tax Inspection and Audit. The course is designed to enhance the skills and performance of personnel involved in the inspection and audit of large taxpayers.
According to Yemen News Agency, during his visit, which was accompanied by Operations Sector Deputy Ali Al-Khatib, Dr. Shuraim received an explanation from course instructor Abdulwahab Al-Yousifi, a member of the Large Taxpayers Unit. The discussion focused on the objectives and key components of the training program.
Dr. Shuraim emphasized the importance of such training programs in developing the capabilities of tax personnel. He highlighted the need for both theoretical and practical training to improve tax work accuracy and ensure transparency in inspection and audit procedures. He advocated for the General Guide for Tax Inspection and Audit as a tool to standardize work methods and improve performance efficiency, urging trainees to apply the knowledge gained in practice.
Ali Al-Khatib also commented on the training, stating that developing employees' capabilities involves acquiring and properly applying technical knowledge while adhering to regulations and procedures. This approach, he noted, strengthens trust between the tax administration and taxpayers and contributes to improved tax work.
The training, held at the Tax and Customs Institute over 15 days, aims to familiarize 77 employees of the Executive Unit for Large Taxpayers with the General Guide for Tax Inspection and Audit. It seeks to standardize work methodologies and enhance the professional efficiency of specialized personnel.
