Sana'a: The Economic Empowerment Committee in Sana'a governorate reviewed its recent activities and future plans during a meeting chaired by governor Abdulbasit al-Hadi.
According to Yemen News Agency, the committee discussed the outcomes of previous meetings, coordination with the Small and Micro Enterprise Development Authority, and technical studies for projects in agriculture, livestock, small industries, and vocational training.
Plans include expanding livestock breeding, dairy production, beekeeping, and small-scale industries, as well as exploring the establishment of agricultural reserves. A field team was assigned to identify suitable sites and assess feasibility.
The meeting also emphasized securing animal feed during drought by collecting and preserving fodder using modern methods.
Officials stressed empowering families through skills development to support self-reliance, improve livelihoods, and enhance local production and food security.
