Sana'a: Fourth-year students from the Faculty of Agriculture at Sana'a University visited Al-Jawf Governorate on a field trip to explore its key agricultural activities and resources. The visit, coordinated with the local Agricultural Sector Office, included a tour of the historic city of Baraqish, where students learned about its ancient history, fortifications, and Minaean ruins.
According to Yemen News Agency, in Al-Ghail District, the students observed the damage caused by the ongoing Saudi-led aggression and its impact on infrastructure and houses. They also explored pioneering agricultural projects, including crop cultivation at Yemen An'am Farm, successful experiments in soybean, pomegranate, orange, and date farming, as well as other crops like wheat, corn, lentils, sunflower, tomatoes, and potatoes.
The visit included meetings with local officials discussing food security and the importance of agricultural investment for self-sufficiency. Students expressed appreciation for Al-Jawf's developmental efforts and earlier paid tribute to martyrs in Marib Governorate, reaffirming their commitment to the values of sacrifice and heroism.
