Sana'a: The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana'a University organized a workshop titled 'Awareness of Reference Academic Standards (NARS) and Academic Accreditation Standards for the Clinical Department.'
According to Yemen News Agency, University Rector Dr. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti stated that academic accreditation is a strategic necessity for the development of the educational process. He highlighted its role in enhancing learning outcomes, aligning them with labor market requirements, and creating a modern academic environment that meets international standards while addressing community health needs.
Dr. al-Bukhaiti mentioned that Sana'a University prioritizes medical education due to its direct impact on human life and health. He noted that implementing quality standards is crucial to ensure the graduation of competent doctors capable of competing regionally and internationally.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Adel al-Matri, Chairman of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council, and Dr. Ibrahim al-Muta'a, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohammed al-Shahari, commended faculty members for their efforts in promoting a culture of quality and stressed its importance in improving educational outcomes.
National expert Dr. Saleh Bahaj delivered a detailed session on reference academic standards. He discussed their role in linking educational objectives with learning outcomes and highlighted key challenges in the field.
