Riyadh: The dream of fragmenting Yemen into small entities has remained a long-term strategy of the Saudi regime since the Kingdom's founding in 1932. To achieve this strategy, the Kingdom has employed various tactics over the decades, seeking to entrench fragmentation and weaken the foundations of Yemeni unity.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Kingdom has a long history of conspiring against Yemen, with conspiracies that have become realities experienced by successive generations of Yemenis in modern history. Therefore, anyone who imagines that Saudi Arabia will stand with Yemen as a state, or that its positions will be based on Yemeni interests, after all the events and experiences the country has witnessed, is living in a delusion far removed from the facts and realities of history.
Today's reality clearly testifies to this. Saudi Arabia is wreaking havoc across Yemen, from east to west, tampering with the country's resources, potential, and even its history, through armed militias it created for this purpose. These militias have been supplied with money and weapons to implement a Saudi agenda prepared long ago, facilitating its control over key aspects of life in the Yemeni provinces.
For a long time, Saudi Arabia has pursued its dream of extending an oil pipeline from the Eastern Province, through Hadramawt and Al-Mahra governorates, to the Arabian Sea. However, this project faced obstacles over the years that prevented its implementation. Today, after Saudi Arabia extended its influence over the eastern provinces, work is proceeding with complete ease to realize this dream, under the protection of armed Yemeni militias, with the tacit approval of political forces and mercenaries who condone this project and turn a blind eye to its consequences.
After decades of experience and hardship, the Yemeni citizen has become more aware of what is happening in their country and more cognizant of the forces behind the tragic situation it has reached. There is now a widespread understanding that Saudi Arabia is a major factor in Yemen's stagnation, hindering any real progress or development in this era of rapid information revolution and the third millennium.
Saudi Arabia's focus on subjugating Yemen and obstructing its development raises many questions about the nature of its policy toward Yemen. This policy has been characterized by persistent hostility, during which Saudi Arabia has used its resources and wealth to weaken the country and prevent any renaissance movement that could propel it toward progress and development, and help it keep pace with the times by building solid scientific foundations for modernizing state institutions and advancing its various sectors.
But today we can say that the Yemeni people have grown up and are more capable of taking control of their own decisions and determining their own choices, free from external guardianship. This has manifested itself in the rejection of Saudi guardianship and standing firmly against its projects, which the Yemeni people see as destructive to their interests, in addition to the growing awareness of the methods it has followed for many years to dominate Yemen and keep it in a spiral of chaos, fragmentation, and infighting.
