Sana'a:The Saudi coalition and its mercenaries have been actively distorting facts and public perception since escalating aggression against Yemen. This escalation began with the targeting of Sana'a International Airport, aiming to tighten the air blockade on Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, The coalition has employed a media strategy to spread misinformation, accusing Yemeni Armed Forces of initiating the escalation when they responded with a "blockade-for-blockade" approach. This disinformation aims to mislead international opinion about the ongoing Saudi aggression and blockade.
Residents in liberated areas, such as Al-Mocha, have recounted severe repression under Saudi control, including looting and rights suppression. Saudi forces allegedly disguised military activities as civilian, which were exposed when Yemeni forces targeted reinforcements intended for mercenaries.
The coalition's media portrays the West Coast as secure under mercenary control, contrasting with the reported reality of harsh conditions and abuses, such as the intimidation and torture in secret prisons, and the imposition of levies on local fishermen. Additionally, illicit activities like drug trafficking were reportedly promoted to undermine community values.
Under mercenary authority, public services were privatized, and citizens' farms were seized. Despite these violations, the Saudi regime continues airstrikes against civilians, causing mass displacement, which is then used in media campaigns to blame the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The armed forces' successful operation on September 10 led to the liberation of 5,400 square kilometers, prompting the coalition to intensify disinformation to mask their defeat. The Yemeni forces, meanwhile, have shown humane treatment of prisoners and residents, contrasting the Saudi narrative.
Continuous air raids have targeted infrastructure in regions like Taiz and Al-Hudaydah, exacerbating humanitarian crises. The Saudi coalition's campaigns aim to shift blame for the humanitarian disaster, despite evidence of their responsibility for the suffering inflicted on Yemen over the past twelve years.
Despite international disinformation efforts, Yemenis recognize the Saudi coalition's role in creating the world's worst humanitarian crisis, as confirmed by United Nations agencies. This crisis is marked by airstrikes, economic blockade, and infrastructure destruction, which the coalition attempts to obscure through media manipulation.
