Taiz:The National Commission for Human Rights has strongly condemned recent airstrikes by Saudi-led forces, which targeted commercial shops at the Central Market in Taiz, resulting in seven deaths and 40 injuries, including five children.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Commission labeled the attack on the Taiz Central Market as a war crime and a violation of international laws and norms.
The Commission also denounced further attacks in the Saada Governorate, highlighting missile strikes and multiple air raids that targeted districts such as Marran, Baqim, and Saqin. These actions were described as a systematic targeting of civilian areas.
It was emphasized that the dual targeting of heavily populated civilian areas in Taiz and Saada indicates an ongoing pattern of war crimes by the Saudi aggressors.
The Commission held the Saudi-US coalition fully accountable for these actions and called on the United Nations, the international community, and human rights organizations to take action against these crimes.
The Human Rights Commission reiterated its demand to lift the blockade on Yemen, urging global citizens and media to condemn the attacks and address the humanitarian crisis faced by the Yemeni people.
