Scattered Rainfall and Hot Conditions Forecast by Meteorology Department

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rainfall over mountainous highlands and eastern coastal areas, along with hot weather in desert regions over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates generally clear to partly cloudy and relatively hot conditions. Scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunder, is also likely over limited areas of the governorates of Dhamar, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, western Dhamar, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah.

The forecast further outlines partly cloudy, hot, and humid conditions with scattered rainfall expected over parts of the eastern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago. Active to strong winds are anticipated around the archipelago, reaching up to 35 knots, causing rough seas and high waves. Moderate winds, occasionally strengthening, are expected at the Bab al-Mandab Strait and western Gulf of Aden.

In desert areas, the weather will remain generally clear, hot to very hot, and dry. Moderate winds may occasionally strengthen, raising dust and sand, particularly in the northeastern deserts of Al-Mahra and Hadramout.

The center issued warnings for citizens in deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas to avoid exposure to the hot and very hot weather, advising increased fluid intake and avoiding direct sun exposure during midday.

Warnings were also issued to seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains in the Socotra Archipelago, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and western Gulf of Aden due to rough sea conditions and high waves. Citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall were advised to take precautions against the effects of rain.
