Sanaa: Acting Prime Minister Scholar Mohammed Miftah met on Tuesday with Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the International Conference 'Palestine: The Nation's Central Cause', Dr. Abdulrahim al-Humran, and his deputy, Dr. Ahmed al-Arami. The meeting reviewed the preparations for the sixth edition of the annual international conference, which is held during the month of Ramadan. The importance of thorough and effective planning was emphasized, especially as the event has become a unique global academic platform.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. al-Arami presented a booklet to the Acting Prime Minister outlining the outcomes and recommendations of the Sixth Scientific Conference of Bayda University, titled 'The Environment in the 21st Century - Reality, Challenges, and Solutions', held from 15-27 Rabi' al-Akhir 1447 AH (October 7-9, 2025). The conference brought together 229 researchers and participants from 90 academic institutions in Yemen and 17 Arab and foreign countries, and featured discussions on 140 scientific papers across six thematic areas.
Scholar Miftah affirmed the great importance of the annual international conference on Palestine in supporting and advocating for the Palestinian cause, highlighting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, independence, and the establishment of their independent state with al-Quds as its capital. He stressed the need for honorable and comprehensive preparation for the sixth conference to build on the successes and impact of previous sessions both locally and internationally.
The Acting Prime Minister also praised the Sixth Scientific Conference of Bayda University, its meaningful content, and the ongoing academic momentum at the university. He emphasized the importance of relevant authorities implementing the practical outcomes of scientific conferences.
