Amran: The second Governorates Shooting Championship for youth, juniors, and cadets (boys) is set to commence this Thursday at the Sports City Hall in Amran Governorate and will continue through to September 19.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event is organized by the General Shooting Federation under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Sixty athletes are expected to participate, with the championship being held in collaboration with the ministry's office in Amran and funded by the Youth and Sports Welfare Fund.
Shooting Federation Secretary-General Tariq Hanash emphasized that the championship is part of a broader initiative to activate sports programs for various age groups and to promote Olympic and specialized sports across the nation. He confirmed that all technical, administrative, and logistical preparations have been completed. The championship aims to advance the sport of shooting, nurture young talent, and identify potential athletes for the national teams.
