Al-Dhale:The distribution of seeders and grain sieves to agricultural cooperative associations across Al-Dhale' governorate has commenced, a project initiated by the Unit for Financing Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives. This effort is in collaboration with the Yemen Plains Foundation for Development and Investment, the General Corporation for Grain Development and Production, and the Governorate's Agricultural Cooperative Union.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Dhalea undersecretary Hussein Al-Madhaji highlighted that the initiative reflects the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership, focusing on strengthening the agricultural sector. The goal is to support cooperative associations in enhancing value chains and decreasing dependency on imports, ultimately moving towards self-sufficiency.
Al-Madhaji emphasized that the locally produced seeders are expected to significantly bolster the capacity of Yemeni farmers to achieve self-reliance in their agricultural endeavors and other related areas.
Nabil Al-Marqab, the official overseeing the governorate's agriculture sector, underscored the importance of this distribution, noting its alignment with this year's harvest season. The availability of these tools is anticipated to aid in the efficient harvesting of maize. The event was attended by district directors Sultan Fadel of Damt and Saleh Al-Gharbani of Juban.
