Sana'a: Bayda University, in cooperation with the Preparatory Committee for the Palestine Conference, the Central Committee for Mobilization and Organization, and the Yemeni Center for Political and Strategic Studies, held an intellectual seminar entitled 'The Nature of the Struggle with the Zionist Enemy.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar was moderated by the University's Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed al-Ansi, and featured a presentation by Dr. Ahmed al-Arami, Rector of Bayda University and Vice Rector of the Preparatory Committee for the Palestine Conference. He outlined the stages of Zionist influence over Christians, beginning with the period when Christians, for nearly 1,500 years, regarded Jews as cursed for allegedly killing Jesus Christ.
Dr. al-Arami discussed the infiltration of Zionism into Western societies, especially Christian communities, and its influence on policies and support for the Israeli entity, extending to the Arab world in the 1840s. He highlighted the implementation of Zionist projects and their threat to the Islamic nation. He also noted the Arab region's fragmentation and the outcomes of imperialist conferences, particularly the Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, in 1897, and the Campbell-Bannerman Conference of 1905-1907, which ultimately paved the way for establishing the Israeli entity in Palestine. Dr. al-Arami emphasized the seminar's role in raising students' awareness of Zionist-American agendas targeting the Islamic world.
Ali al-Aqhoumi presented a paper titled 'The conflict with the People of the Book,' focusing on the religious and ideological roots of the struggle with the Zionist enemy. Al-Aqhoumi stressed that this conflict is existential, non-negotiable, and targets the nation's faith, identity, and civilization. He urged the activation of economic boycotts against products of the occupying entity and its supporters and highlighted the need to increase awareness of threats facing the nation.
Salim Sharafuddin delivered a third paper, 'Military Strategies in the Campaigns of the Noble Prophet and Their Relevance Today,' connecting lessons from the Prophet's expeditions to the current struggle, and showing how these lessons could guide resistance against the Zionist occupation. Sharafuddin emphasized that the enemy understands only the language of strength, not negotiation or reconciliation, praising the ongoing operations by the resistance axis targeting Israeli forces.
Participants in the seminar underscored that confronting the Zionist enemy is a historical, moral, and religious responsibility. The participants stressed that supporting the resistance is a strategic choice that has proven effective in countering aggression and thwarting conspiracies, and that the Palestinian cause remains the unifying compass for the Islamic nation until victory and liberation are achieved.
