Taiz: The September 21 Revolution Anniversary Football League kicked off on Monday in Sharab Al-Rawna District, Taiz Governorate, organized by the Youth and Sports Office under the supervision of the local authority. The league is part of Yemen's celebrations of the September 21 Revolution and features nine teams competing in a home-and-away format for the title.
According to Yemen News Agency, the opening match between Fursan Al-Hiyajim and Al-Falah Qubair ended in a 1-1 draw after a closely contested game. This match set the tone for the league, which promises to showcase local talent and competitive spirit.
Meanwhile, the 16th edition of the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' Football Tournament also began in the district, with six teams participating. In an exciting opening match, Ittihad Wadi Al-Haddad defeated Al-Nasr Manubah 6-5, marking a thrilling start to the tournament.
