Sana'a: Dr. Mujahid Ma'sar, President of September 21 University for Medical and Applied Sciences, initiated the operation of an advanced smart virtual dissection table, marking a significant enhancement in the university's medical education offerings.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was attended by several key university figures, including Vice Presidents for Graduate Studies Dr. Salem Al-Riyashi and Student Affairs Dr. Jameel Mujalli. During the event, the College of Medicine Dean, Dr. Salwa Al-Ghumairi, showcased the digital dissection table's capabilities in teaching various medical disciplines such as anatomy, embryology, histology, physiology, and pathology.
In addition, the university president launched a Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) system at the College of Dentistry. Dental Dean Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Khawlani explained this 3D imaging technology's diagnostic benefits for oral and maxillofacial applications, noting its importance in advancing clinical training for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
President Ma'sar highlighted that these technological advancements are in line with the university's strategic vision to modernize medical education in Yemen. This includes upgrading academic infrastructure, integrating advanced technologies, and producing clinically competent graduates.
