Sana'a: The first scientific conference of the Faculty of Laboratory Medicine at September 21 University for Medical and Applied Sciences opened in Sana'a, bringing together hundreds of researchers and specialists from Yemen and abroad.
According to Yemen News Agency, the two-day conference, held under the theme 'Modern Molecular Technologies in Laboratory Medicine,' features 40 scientific papers and lectures with the participation of around 800 attendees. It is organized in partnership with al-Aulaqi Specialized Laboratories.
Officials highlighted the importance of laboratory diagnostics in improving healthcare quality, emphasizing that accurate diagnosis is key to effective treatment. The event also showcases recent advances in molecular technologies used in disease detection and medical testing.
Participants are discussing developments in diagnostic services, quality systems, and infection control, while exploring ways to enhance cooperation between academic institutions and the healthcare sector.
The conference aims to strengthen scientific research and keep pace with modern medical technologies to improve healthcare services in Yemen.
