Sanaa: The Governor of Shabwa, Awad Al-Awlaki, has called on Yemeni political forces, particularly those in the southern provinces, to unite under the leadership of Sayyid Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi. Al-Houthi is seen as a proponent of a comprehensive national project aimed at benefiting all Yemenis.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Al-Awlaki urged the abandonment of partisan loyalties and multiple leaderships, emphasizing the detrimental impact of political faction ideologies. He stressed the necessity for political cohesion to build a stable nation and serve the Yemeni populace effectively. Reflecting on past decades, Al-Awlaki noted that partisan extremism has been a significant obstacle in the developing world.
Governor Al-Awlaki proposed that a national dialogue, inclusive of all Yemeni figures and based on national rather than partisan interests, is essential for Yemen's progress. He believes such dialogue will facilitate independent decision-making, leading to security, stability, and the establishment of a prosperous Yemen free from foreign interference.
He highlighted the importance of setting aside personal and partisan interests to rebuild a strong Yemen, capable of reclaiming its historical stature, which has been undermined by external conspiracies. Al-Awlaki cited the September 21 Revolution as a model of success due to its unified leadership and clear vision, focused on sovereignty, dignity, and independence.
Expressing confidence in Sayyid Abdulmalik Al-Houthi's leadership, Governor Al-Awlaki believes that Al-Houthi will guide Yemen towards safety and social justice through equitable distribution of wealth and power. He recalled that the September 21 Revolution achieved objectives unmet by previous movements, and emphasized the Quranic March's foundation in the Holy Quran as a unifying force against unsuccessful ideological and partisan theories.
Al-Awlaki praised Al-Houthi's support for the Palestinian cause, viewing it as a source of pride for Yemen and the broader Arab and Islamic communities. He reiterated that continuing the Quranic March is in Yemen's best interest, aiming to build a unified Yemen with sovereign decision-making that aligns with the nation's and broader community's causes, particularly the Palestinian issue.
