Shabwa Governor Warns Against Involvement in Saudi Military Buildups

Shabwa:Governor Awad al-Awlaki has called on the residents of Shabwa to steer clear of Saudi military buildup sites and camps, noting that these locations have been marked as targets for military operations by the armed forces.

According to Yemen News Agency, al-Awlaki cautioned against participating in what he described as Saudi schemes that could involve the people of Shabwa and southern Yemen in conflicts that serve Saudi interests and put their lives at risk. He alleged that the Saudi-led strategy aims to occupy Yemen and control strategic locations for the benefit of the United States and Israel.

Al-Awlaki emphasized that the military operations are directed at Saudi forces and their military presence, rather than the people of Shabwa or southern Yemen. He urged locals to resist recruitment into Saudi military groups, avoid their sites, and prevent them from setting up positions in local areas.

The governor attributed responsibility to Saudi-backed authorities for putting residents in danger by drawing them into a conflict against their own nation and communities. He encouraged Yemenis nationwide to unite in support of the leadership and armed forces to defend Yemen's sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as to protect the rights of its people.
