Sana'a: Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Aidrous sent a message of condolence on the passing of educator and sports figure Obeid Abboud Aliyan, honoring his lifetime of dedication to education, sports, and public service.
According to Yemen News Agency, in his message to the late educator's son, Sabri Aliyan, and his siblings, Al-Aidrous praised Aliyan's virtues, humility, and contributions to promoting goodwill, cooperation, and patriotism within society.
Aliyan was recognized for his tenure as principal of Tareem Boys' High School, where he embodied dignity, instilled discipline, and served as a model of integrity, honesty, and responsibility. He also held the position of Secretary-General of the Yemeni Athletics Federation, reflecting his commitment to sports development and youth empowerment.
Al-Aidrous extended his condolences to the family of the deceased and to the Aliyan family in Tareem and al-Soum District, Hadramout, praying that God grants the departed His mercy and forgiveness, shelters him in paradise, and bestows patience and solace upon his loved ones.
