Sana'a: The Shura Council commended the steadfast and resilient Yemeni people from all walks of life, and the heroes of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, on the occasion of the National Day of Steadfastness. It praised the heroic epics and immense sacrifices made by Yemenis in confronting the brutal aggression over the past 11 years.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a statement issued Thursday, the Council endorsed the content of the speeches delivered by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, on this occasion. It affirmed that the directives and wisdom of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council are the compass guiding Yemen towards victory and empowerment.
The Council emphasized the importance of popular and official support for all announced strategic options to strengthen national sovereignty and secure the legitimate rights of the Yemeni people.
The statement expressed the Shura Council's pride in the legendary resilience of the Yemeni people and their close unity with the revolutionary and political leadership, as well as their support for the national options that have proven effective in breaking the aggression's arrogance, achieving field and political victories, and transforming challenges into opportunities for military development and manufacturing.
The Council called on all citizens to maintain their unity and high vigilance, to support the fronts with manpower and resources, and to adhere to their faith-based and national identity as a protective shield against all conspiracies targeting the home front.
The Council reaffirmed its pivotal role in strengthening national unity and social cohesion, and in working as a unified team with all state institutions to consolidate the foundations of stability. It noted that the cohesion of the home front is the rock upon which all the failed bets of the aggression and its mercenaries will shatter.
The council concluded its statement by offering condolences for the souls of the righteous martyrs whose blood watered the soil of the homeland, wishing healing for the wounded, freedom for the prisoners, and victory and empowerment for Yemen, Palestine, and the Arab and Islamic nation.
