Sana'a: The local council and executive offices of Shu'ub District, alongside the Shu'ub Cooperative Society and the Himyar neighborhood, organized a commemorative event to mark the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by notable figures including members of the House of Representatives, Abdu al-Adla, members of the Shura Council, Ahmed al-Sharabi and Ahmed al-Zubairi, and the Acting Head of the Land Authority, Judge Ibrahim al-Mansour. Hamoud al-Naqeeb, the Head of the Social Affairs Committee in Sana'a, highlighted the importance of this occasion as an expression of reverence, love, and loyalty to the Prophet Muhammad. The birth of the Prophet was noted as a pivotal moment that transitioned humanity from ignorance and tyranny to enlightenment and justice.
The event witnessed a significant turnout of residents and leaders from the Shu'ub district, including executive offices, sheikhs, tribal elders, and prominent social figures. Al-Naqeeb emphasized the pride Yemenis feel in celebrating the Prophet's birthday, reinforcing their historical connection and commitment to following his teachings. He urged all residents to participate in the grand celebration at Al-Sabeen Square on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
Speeches by Sheikh Hamoud Sharaf al-Din of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Muhammad al-Hadrami, Secretary-General of the Shu'ub District Local Council, and Muhammad al-Washah, Head of the Shu'ub Cooperative Society, underscored the unifying impact of commemorating the Prophet's birthday. They emphasized the necessity of emulating the Prophet Muhammad's teachings in all aspects of life and noted Yemen's prominent role in celebrating this occasion. The speakers called for continued participation in the daily celebratory events leading up to the grand event on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
