Al-mahwit: Al-Jumhouri Teaching Hospital in Al-Mahwit Governorate organized today a protest sit-in to denounce the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the people of Gaza and its policy of starvation and blockade.
According to Yemen News Agency, the sit-in was attended by department heads, administrative directors, and medical and health staff. The hospital's Deputy Director for Technical Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Qanad, stated that the killings, displacement, and starvation occurring in Gaza constitute a crime targeting life in all its aspects. He highlighted that targeting health facilities and depriving patients of treatment is a double crime against humanity.
A statement issued during the sit-in emphasized that the events in Gaza are a war crime perpetrated by the Zionist enemy, witnessed by a world that claims to uphold human rights. It noted that thousands of Palestinians have been martyred due to famine and so-called 'death traps,' while thousands more face a similar fate amid severe shortages of food, milk, and medicine.
The statement held the U.S. administration fully responsible for the starvation war and systematic genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, amid the escalation of Israeli aggression and the ongoing blockade preventing the entry of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid. It called for the immediate entry of infant formula, nutritional supplements, medicines, medical supplies, and medical teams into the Gaza Strip, and for the unconditional opening of crossings.
