Sana'a: Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Bajala'ah has underscored the necessity of ensuring that people with disabilities fully receive their rights, particularly in accessing public facilities and services. This message was conveyed during a meeting with the coordination committee for the 'Access Ways' workshop.

According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Bajala'ah emphasized the critical role that both government agencies and the private sector play in enhancing service quality and executing the national strategy for people with disabilities. He affirmed that the empowerment and integration of people with disabilities is a leadership priority, noting that removing physical and social barriers is essential for their independence and active societal participation.

The Executive Director of the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund stressed the importance of establishing a clear mechanism for enforcing directives related to the rights of people with disabilities. This involves engaging all relevant parties to ensure adherence to infrastructure standards that accommodate people with disabilities.

Officials from the Capital Sana'a reiterated their commitment to supervising the implementation of projects that address the needs of people with disabilities. They aim to contribute to sustainable development while ensuring the legal rights of people with disabilities are safeguarded.
