Socotra Governor Urges Residents to Resist Division Schemes and Support National Unity

Socotra:Socotra Archipelago Governor Hashim Al-Socotri has called on the people of the archipelago and residents of other governorates under occupation to avoid involvement in strife and alleged conspiratorial schemes orchestrated by foreign forces and the Saudi occupation.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Socotri emphasized the current situation, highlighting the stance of the revolutionary and political leadership, as well as the preemptive operations carried out by the armed forces against the Saudi enemy and its proxies. These entities, he claimed, aspire to fully occupy the country, thus requiring the people of Socotra and the occupied governorates to recognize the gravity of the situation.

Al-Socotri urged the residents to thwart these schemes by supporting the leadership of the Republic of Yemen in the capital, Sana'a, until national unity is restored and every part of the homeland is liberated. He warned that the forces of aggression and occupation aim to divide Yemeni society.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Al-Socotri highlighted the dangers of the current phase and its critical turning points. He accused the forces of aggression and their proxies of fueling division and internal conflict among Yemenis after years of blockade and suffering.

He praised the strong national awareness of Socotra's residents, stating that they have stood firm against attempts to erase their identity and force them into submission. He called on everyone to return to the embrace of the homeland and its capital, Sana'a, affirming that the country has room for all its people.

Al-Socotri concluded by asserting that Yemen's wounds can be healed only by its own free people, free from external tutelage. He emphasized that unity and solidarity are the only ways to achieve renewal and lasting peace.
