Sana'a: The Southern Movement component participating in the National Dialogue Conference, which signed the Peace and Partnership Agreement, praised the contents of the speech of H.E. Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, during his presidency of a meeting of the National Defense Council.
According to Yemen News Agency, the component explained that President Al-Mashat showed through his speech the violence, pride, hardness, and will that befits him as the President of the Republic of Yemen and its free, proud people, under the leadership of Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. The statement highlighted that Al-Mashat embodied the real model for those who assume leadership responsibilities, effectively addressing and dealing with perceived enemies of the nation and humanity.
The Southern Movement emphasized that President Al-Mashat's stance against what it described as the forces of American and Zionist arrogance and tyranny was commendable. The statement particularly noted his strong denunciation of the former U.S. President Trump, placing him symbolically in the "dustbin of history," a move that, according to the component, no other head of state dared to make. Instead, other leaders were seen as seeking Trump's favor for economic benefits, such as reduced tariffs and tax exemptions.
