Speech Event in Sana’a Commemorates Martyr Anniversary with Focus on National Sacrifice

Sana'a: A speech event was held today in Sana'a Governorate to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrs of 1447 AH. At the event, organized by the offices of the telecommunications, electricity, water and sanitation institutions, the oil and gas companies, the land and water resources authorities, rural water projects, endowments, and the Social Welfare Fund, the Secretary-General of the local council in the governorate, Abdul Qader Al-Jilani, pointed to the importance of drawing lessons and inspiration from the lives of the martyrs and embodying them in practical reality.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Jilani emphasized the necessity of emulating the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation's honor and in confronting global powers of arrogance. He stressed the importance of instilling a culture of martyrdom, honoring the blood and sacrifices of the martyrs, and following in their footsteps in confronting enemies.

At the event, which was attended by Deputy Governor Abdul-Mughni Dawood, the Director of the Governorate's Endowments and Guidance Authority, Abdullah Amer, spoke about the heroic epics written by the martyrs in defense of the homeland, its security, and its stability. He highlighted the importance of commemorating the Martyr's Day anniversary as a significant occasion to immortalize the martyrs' achievements and heroism and to attend to their families in all aspects.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of the Governorate's Oil Company branch, Fouad Sabah, considered the Martyr's Day anniversary an opportunity to draw lessons and inspiration and to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives to defend the homeland and support the causes of the nation. He affirmed that the martyrs embodied the meanings of honor, dignity, and liberation from the hegemony of global powers of arrogance, calling for attention to be given to the families and children of the martyrs in recognition of their sacrifices in defense of the homeland.

During the event, which was attended by directors of the organizing offices, institutions, and organizations, Abdul Khaliq Ishaq, speaking on behalf of the martyrs' families, and cultural activist Osama Al-Mahatori, considered jihad in the path of God to be among the best acts of devotion and the greatest acts of obedience due to its significance in confronting the forces of tyranny to uphold the word of God. They addressed the status of the martyrs and their sacrifices for the sake of God, defending the homeland, its security and independence, and supporting the oppressed among the nation's people.

Ishaq and Al-Mahatori emphasized the importance of commemorating this anniversary in a manner befitting the sacrifices of the martyrs in confronting the oppressors and those who spread corruption on earth, and of remaining faithful to them and the principles for which they sacrificed. The event included a poem by the poet Jamil Jaafar, expressing the greatness of martyrdom and the high status held by the martyrs.
