Sana'a: Executive Director of the Yemen Organization for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control, Sam al-Bashiri, conducted an inspection of the operational procedures at the Nihm Control Center in Sana'a province.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bashiri received a detailed briefing from the Center Director, Engineer Malik al-Bousi, and the staff regarding the efficiency of workflows, control and inspection procedures, and ongoing efforts to enhance oversight of imported goods. These efforts are in line with the Authority's development plan and government directives.
The Director highlighted the importance of accelerating procedures through the use of a unified window with Customs, electronic systems, and the "Tasheel" e-portal, which was launched earlier this year. These initiatives are designed to streamline processes for all commercial stakeholders, prioritize consumer health and safety, and strengthen the national economy.
Al-Bashiri also emphasized the need for strict adherence to approved standard specifications and technical regulations. He commended the center's staff for their exemplary performance in protecting consumers from counterfeit and non-conforming goods.
