Al-hodeidah: The branch of the Yemeni Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO) in Al-Hodeidah Governorate and the Hodeidah Port Customs jointly organized a commemorative event marking the Martyrs' Anniversary for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor for Cultural and Media Affairs, Ali Qashar, emphasized the event's significance in reinforcing values of giving, sacrifice, and devotion. He highlighted the occasion as a gesture of gratitude to the martyrs for their sacrifices in defending and liberating the homeland from invaders and occupiers. Qashar noted that the martyrs' true rewards are in paradise and that the anniversary serves as an opportunity for individuals to strengthen their piety and draw inspiration from the martyrs' sacrifices.
Qashar described the Martyrs' Anniversary as a spiritual moment to recall the heroic deeds of the martyrs and their sacrifices, which allow the nation to live in dignity and honor. He urged everyone to renew their commitment to following the martyrs' path of faith and struggle, stressing the need to shoulder responsibilities amid the nation's current challenges by upholding jihad and drawing lessons from the martyrs' sacrifices.
He also reviewed historical milestones showcasing the steadfastness of the righteous against falsehood, from the dawn of Islam to Yemen's support for the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' battle. The Deputy Governor emphasized Yemen's firm stance despite challenges, highlighting the continued resistance against external pressures.
The event, attended by YSMO branch Director Khalil Al-Joufi and Hodeidah Port Customs Director Abdullah Habib, underscored the anniversary as a reinforcement of martyrdom values. Habib affirmed that the martyrs' contributions are a badge of honor for Hodeidah's people, expressing appreciation for their sacrifices for the homeland's dignity, security, and stability.
Jamal Al-Saghir, representing the YSMO branch, remarked on the nation's resilience after eleven years of aggression and blockade, attributing Yemen's strengthened position to the martyrs' heroism. He emphasized the necessity for Yemenis to remain steadfast against occupation, continuing on the path of sacrifice and redemption until the homeland's complete liberation.
