Hodeida: Director General of the Yemen Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Organization Abdullah al-Atifi on Saturday reviewed inspection and monitoring operations at Hodeida Port and the Authority's local branch, emphasizing the importance of enhancing product quality and consumer protection.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Atifi listened to a detailed explanation on the inspection mechanisms and clearance procedures based on approved standards, praising the staff's efforts in carrying out their duties despite ongoing challenges. He stressed the need for coordination with relevant authorities to streamline technical inspection processes and strengthen institutional cooperation.

He also visited the Authority's branch in Hodeida governorate to assess the execution of regulatory, technical, and public service tasks for citizens and the commercial sector. Al-Atifi discussed ways to improve performance and support technical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with quality standards and protect consumers.
