Sana'a: Director General of the Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Abdullah al-Atifi chaired a meeting on Monday to review the progress of work at the authority's branch in the Capital Sana'a.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed recent regulatory and technical activities, discussed obstacles, and emphasized the need for greater discipline and field task execution to protect consumers and ensure public health. It highlighted the authority's crucial role as the first line of defense against counterfeit and substandard products.
Al-Atifi called for improved coordination between departments and expedited services for importers and traders. He stressed the strict enforcement of quality standards, underscoring that efficient service delivery must not come at the expense of regulatory precision or public trust.
