Standards & Metrology Authority Launches Inspection Campaign on Household Gas Filling Stations

Sana'a: The Yemeni Authority for Standards, Metrology and Quality Control has launched an inspection campaign on household gas filling stations in coordination with the Yemen Gas Company.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Authority explained in a statement that the campaign is part of its regular oversight plans. The initiative aims to monitor service facilities that are directly related to citizens' lives and ensure their compliance with approved legal and technical standards, thereby guaranteeing public safety during filling and storage operations.

The statement further noted that the campaign, which began in Hajjah Governorate, seeks to strengthen oversight of service quality and prevent any violations or unsafe practices that may harm citizens.

Engineer Ali Al-Hajjaji, the Director of the Authority's branch in Hajjah, stated that the field inspections will cover technical aspects, including the availability of essential safety and security requirements at gas stations. He also urged citizens to cooperate with the Authority by reporting any violations, fraud, or negligence at filling stations via the toll-free number: 8001222.
