Al bayda: A training course in the use of the Financial and Accounting Information System "AFMIS" began today at the Finance Office in Al-Bayda Governorate. The course, organized by the Finance Office over six days, aims to familiarize 30 trainees from the office's employees and directors of finance and accounting units in the directorates with methods of using the system designed to automate all financial work in the governorate, contributing to controlling financial operations.
According to Yemen News Agency, at the opening, the Deputy Governor, Saleh Al-Mansouri, praised the efforts of the Governorate's Finance Office in developing performance through continuous pursuit of qualifying cadres and working on enhancing their skills to keep pace with changes in this field. He affirmed the keenness of the local authority leadership in the governorate to support and stimulate the office's activities that keep pace with current developments, contributing to achieving a qualitative leap in financial resource development and enhancing transparency in revenue and expenditure aspects.
For his part, the Director of the Governorate's Finance Office, Nasser Al-Mansouri, explained that the course comes within the programs and plans of the Ministry of Finance for qualification and training for the current year. He explained that the training aims to complete the implementation of the Electronic Government Financial and Accounting Information System (AFMIS) in all branches of the Finance Office in the directorates for all financial operations, whether in expenditure or procurement aspects.
He noted that using the Financial and Accounting Information System "AFMIS" would elevate financial work, facilitate the collection process, and save time and effort. Meanwhile, the course trainer, Ali Hanib, indicated that participants will receive practical application skills in using the system for processing official data for all financial operations "resources and uses," electronic check withdrawals, financial reports, final accounts, and electronic collection.
