Sana'a: The General Quran Competition for public education students in the governorates for the academic year 1447 AH began today in Sana'a, organized by the General Administration of School Activities at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competition was inaugurated by the Undersecretaries of the Basic Education Sector at the Ministry of Education, Hadi Ammar, and the Youth Sector at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Abdullah Al-Razahi. They congratulated the 18 students participating in the competition, who succeeded at their governorate level to reach this final stage at the republic level. The competition is scheduled to last for five days.
Ammar and Al-Razahi emphasized the competition's role in fostering a competitive spirit among students for recitation, intonation, and memorization of the Quran. The competition takes place in two categories: 15 parts and the complete Quran.
They also highlighted the importance of comprehending the verses of the Quran, reflecting on their meanings, and applying them in daily life as part of a Quranic culture. The efforts of all contributors to the competition's success were acknowledged.
