Hodeidah: The education sector in Bajil District, Hodeidah Governorate, organized a student march and rally on Wednesday to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and support for Gaza. This event was timed to coincide with the 11th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the march, including local authority and education officials, emphasized that supporting the Palestinian people and their struggle is a religious, humanitarian, and moral duty. They reiterated that the Palestinian cause remains central to the nation, despite ongoing challenges.
The marchers condemned the Zionist aggression against Gaza and the crimes committed against civilians, stating that the international community's silence and certain regimes' complicity exacerbate Palestinian suffering. They criticized the United Nations and international organizations for ignoring Zionist crimes, arguing that these bodies have lost credibility and are influenced by global powers.
Participants highlighted the Yemeni people's firm support for Palestinians, with Yemeni Armed Forces' military actions against Israel seen as a courageous stance reflecting Yemen's commitment to national causes. They expressed pride in the September 21 Revolution, which they believe restored popular will and national identity, demonstrating Yemen's ability to protect its sovereignty and resist foreign influence.
Students noted that the revolution fostered new awareness among younger generations, linking them to their cultural identity and shielding them from intellectual and cultural threats. They stated that the student march exemplifies their awareness and dedication to national causes.
The participants viewed the situation in Palestine as a test for the Arab and Islamic nation, asserting that despite challenges, Yemenis remain committed to their responsibilities toward Palestinians.
