Student Protests in Sana’a Condemn Saudi Actions

Sana'a: Schools across the capital held mass student and educational protests today condemning Saudi aggression against Yemenis and expressing support for Yemeni Armed Forces operations. Participants chanted against the continued Saudi aggression, blockade, and escalation, including the recent attack on inmates and visitors at Al-Hazm Prison in Al-Jawf, which reportedly killed and wounded 39 people.

According to Yemen News Agency, the protesters raised Yemeni and Palestinian flags, calling for unity, steadfastness, and awareness in confronting what they described as U.S. and Israeli schemes targeting the region. They reaffirmed their support for Ansarullah leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi and Yemeni Armed Forces operations against Saudi targets, calling for a response to any further aggression.

A statement issued during the protests condemned the continued attacks and called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and relevant organizations to denounce the targeting of civilians and detainees. The statement also praised recent Yemeni military operations against vital facilities and military bases in Jizan, Najran, Abha, and Khamis Mushait, saying the 'escalation for escalation' equation remains in effect.

It called on Yemenis across the country to unite, confront what it described as occupation, and work toward restoring Yemen's rights, resources, freedom, and independence.
