Sana'a: The Sultan team emerged victorious in the Yemeni Unity Football Cup, an event organized by the Youth and Sports Office in the province under the guidance of the local authority and mobilization, as part of the summer activities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Sultan team clinched the cup after defeating the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Center team (Al-Jund) with a decisive score of 5-0. The match was held in celebration of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, marked on May 22.
Following the match, Saeed Al-Sanafi, a member of the Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses, expressed his satisfaction with organizing the football event to honor this national occasion, which aims to reinforce the spirit of unity among generations.
He acknowledged the contributions of the local authority in the province, which prioritizes sports and cultural activities in accordance with the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the government's Change and Construction Program.
Finally, Al-Sanafi awarded the winning team of the Yemeni Unity Cup, as well as recognizing the best player, goalkeeper, and top scorer.
