Sana'a: The General Mobilization in Al-Thawra District of the Capital Secretariat organized on Wednesday a cultural symposium commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), under the slogan: 'Far from us is humiliation.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the event featured Sheikh Khaled Musa, Assistant Secretary-General of the Yemeni Scholars Association, who emphasized Imam Hussein's sacrifice for the authentic values and principles of Islam. He highlighted Imam Hussein's commitment to preserving Islam's dignity, elevating Allah's word, and standing against tyranny and falsehood.
Sheikh Musa addressed ongoing attempts to distort Islam and target the religion of Allah and the symbols and sanctities of Muslims. He stressed that following Imam Hussein's path is essential for confronting soft war and defeating projects of domination and ideological, political, and economic invasion.
He further noted that the Yemeni people's commemoration of this occasion demonstrates their awareness and ability to draw lessons and inspiration from Imam Hussein's stance in the contemporary reality of the Islamic nation. This commemoration is seen as a renewal of determination and resilience in confronting forces of injustice, tyranny, and arrogance.
