Sana’a: The Health and Environment Office in Taiz Governorate has enhanced the capabilities of the Tuberculosis Control Unit at al-Wahda Maternity and Childhood Hospital in Sala District by supplying it with a new X-ray machine. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Health and Environment through the National Tuberculosis Control Program, involved an investment of 25 million riyals.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Abdulmalik Al-Mutawakil, Director of the Health and Environment Office in the Governorate, emphasized the dedication of the Ministry of Health and Environment, alongside the Tuberculosis Control Program, to continually support the health sector across the governorate’s hospitals. This effort is further bolstered by the local authority’s commitment to improving healthcare services.
Dr. Al-Mutawakil also acknowledged the ongoing efforts to deliver health services to patients and mitigate their hardships, which have been exacerbated by persistent aggression and siege conditions.
