Taiz Public Works Office Launches Campaign to Enforce Urban Planning Regulations

Taiz: The Public Works Office in Taiz governorate has launched a campaign to address various violations in the city. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to uphold the master plan, maintain the urban landscape, and prevent informal construction.

According to Yemen News Agency, Engineer Bakil Ali, Director of the Public Works Office in the governorate, reported that the campaign successfully removed nine violations. These included violations at a school site in the Sha'b Al-Dhahab area - Sector 4, a fencing violation on 20th Street, and the demolition of a structure erected over a culvert in Neighborhood Unit No. 611.

Ali emphasized the campaign's objective to prevent any tampering with urban planning and protect Taiz's cityscape. He highlighted the office's zero-tolerance policy towards violations and the strict enforcement of legal measures.

The Director also issued a warning against encroachments on the master plan or land designated for public facilities. He affirmed that all violations would be removed in accordance with the law and that deterrent actions would be taken against offenders.

The support from the local authority leadership in the governorate was praised by Ali, acknowledging their role in organizing the city and safeguarding its infrastructure in alignment with citizens' aspirations and sustainable development requirements.
