Taiz Undersecretary Evaluates Seedling Production at Warzan Agricultural Nursery

Taiz: Taiz province undersecretary of development affairs, Abdulwasea al-Shamsi, inspected the production and cultivation of seedlings at Warzan Agricultural Nursery in Khadir district. During his visit, he emphasized the need for improving nursery operations and infrastructure.

According to Yemen News Agency, al-Shamsi was joined by the provincial Director of Information and Statistics, Muath Shams al-Din, and was briefed by the nursery director, Mahyoub al-Sharabi, on the current activities and challenges in seedling production. The visit aimed to assess the ongoing work and identify areas for enhancement.

Al-Shamsi stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to enhance services, diversify seedling varieties, and prepare visitor areas. He also underscored the significance of completing infrastructure upgrades that are funded by donor-supported agricultural projects. Additionally, the deputy governor called for preparations to plant 7,000 date palm seeds, aligning with a nationwide campaign for date palm cultivation that was launched at the start of Ramadan.
