Sanaa: Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development and Vice Chairman of the Supreme Merger Committee Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali met on Sunday with Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mahdi to review the progress of merger procedures and discuss measures to ensure the process is completed according to the approved timetable.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, Dr. Al-Hawali received a briefing from Dr. Al-Mahdi on the implementation of the Technical Committee's merger plan, including progress in completing the organizational, administrative, and technical requirements.
The two officials also discussed the main challenges facing the implementation process and reviewed proposed solutions aimed at ensuring the merger is completed within the established timeframe. Dr. Al-Hawali emphasized the importance of adhering to the Executive Committee's implementation plan and expediting the remaining procedures to achieve the merger's objectives, such as improving institutional efficiency and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development would continue providing technical support and supervising all phases of the merger process in coordination with relevant authorities to address any obstacles and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. For his part, Dr. Al-Mahdi reaffirmed the Authority's commitment to implementing all required procedures under the Technical Committee's plan. He stated that the Authority would continue working closely with the Ministry of Civil Service and other relevant entities to complete the merger requirements within the specified deadlines, contributing to the development of a more efficient and effective public administration.
