Tender Supervisory Authority Chairman Meets with ICT Minister in Sana’a

Sana’a: The Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Tender Control (GOCR), Eng. Abdulmalik Al-Arashi, met today in Sana’a with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Mohammed Al-Mahdi, to discuss the development plans of the telecommunications sector and its purchasing needs.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Arashi praised the continuous cooperation between the TRA and the Ministry, noting the development of telecommunications services despite the challenges. He emphasized that the Authority serves as an advisory body for government procurement and will continue to provide technical support. He also mentioned the new draft tender law, which aims to simplify procedures and expand the powers of tender committees.

In response, the ICT Minister commended the role of the TRA in correcting procedures through censorship, highlighting its significance in reducing imbalances and achieving the public interest.
