Thawra District Commemorates Prophet’s Birthday with Community Gatherings

Sana'a: Evenings were held in the Al-Daf'i neighborhood in the northern Hasaba neighborhood, Tripoli in the Al-Nahda neighborhood, and Rab'i in the Al-Jarraf neighborhood in the Al-Thawra district of the capital, Sana'a, to commemorate the Prophet's birthday, may the best prayers and peace be upon him and his family.

According to Yemen News Agency, the gatherings were attended by Shura Council member Ahmed Al-Dhafri and the director of the district, Aqil Al-Saqqaf. Cultural expert Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Din explained that celebrating the birthday is one of Allah's rituals, as He says: "And We have raised high your remembrance." He highlighted that the occasion encourages emulation of the noble Messenger and drawing lessons from his life.

The head of the Al-Daf'i neighborhood, Taha Ja'im, noted the significance of the occasion for Yemenis, emphasizing their historical connection to the noble Messenger and their role in spreading the Islamic call globally.

Munir Al-Omari, the Al-Jarraf neighborhood official, stressed the importance of the event in reinforcing the Prophet's morals and his efforts to uphold the word of Allah and support the oppressed. The evenings included poems and songs expressing love for the Prophet, attended by Saddam Al-Hababi, a member of the General Mobilization Forces in the district.
