San'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted scattered thunderstorm rains of varying intensity across several governorates, alongside hot to very hot weather conditions in the deserts, plains, and coastal areas over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhale', and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan are likely to experience varying-intensity thunderstorm rains. Additionally, scattered rains may occur in parts of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, and the western regions of both Sana'a and Saada. Some areas of the Tihama plain and the southern coasts are also expected to see rainfall.
The forecast also highlights that hot to very hot weather conditions are anticipated in the deserts, plains, coastal areas, and interior plateaus. In light of these weather conditions, the center has issued warnings to citizens residing in mountainous areas expected to receive rainfall. There is a significant risk of flash floods in ravines and valleys, and the center advises against being in or crossing these pathways during and after rainfall.
Furthermore, a warning has been issued regarding the hot and very hot weather. The public is advised to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during midday hours and to ensure adequate hydration by drinking plenty of fluids.
