Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted thunderstorms of varying intensity scattered across various governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that thunderstorms are expected to affect parts of Ibb, Taiz, Raymah, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, Sana'a, Dhamar, Amran, and the Tihama Plain.
The forecast also highlights the likelihood of scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunder, in parts of Al Dhale, Al Bayda, Shabwah, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan. Citizens in these areas have been cautioned about the potential for flash floods, particularly in ravines and valleys, and have been advised to avoid their paths during and after rainfall.
The center has issued warnings regarding the dangers of thunderstorms, including the risk of being near electric poles and tall trees. Additionally, residents are advised to be aware of possible rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountainous slopes due to the rain and fog formation.
