Hodeida: A ceremony was held on Tuesday in Hodeida province to announce the establishment of the multi-purpose marketing cooperative Ataa Tihama, under the title “A hand that protects and a hand that builds”. During the ceremony, Abdullah Mashhour, the head of the preparatory committee of the association, emphasized the significance of the association in supporting farmers and organizing agricultural marketing operations. He noted that its establishment aligns with the directives of Revolution Leader Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to promote economic development and self-sufficiency, contributing to supporting local producers and achieving food security.
According to Yemen News Agency, Adel Al-Abid, the association’s marketing officer, discussed the association’s role in promoting cooperation between producers and consumers. He indicated that the association will work to market agricultural products and provide financial and technical services to support emerging projects.
Abdulaziz Jubran, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Committee in the province, spoke about the committee’s role in supporting cooperative projects. He noted that the establishment of this association reflects the trend towards improving agricultural production and developing marketing channels to ensure the sustainability of returns for farmers.
At the end of the ceremony, it was announced that membership is open to those wishing to join the association. The initiative aims to promote the spirit of cooperation and economic integration, contributing to achieving sustainable development in the province.
